Having been brought up locally in the area living and working here means everything to us.

We are passionate to share what this part of Wales has to offer from exploring the nearby coastline and countryside to visiting stunning landscapes and gorgeous beaches.

We are also blessed to have the breathtaking coastal path of Wales on our doorstep.

We are central to the beautiful coastal towns of Aberaeron, Aberystwyth and New Quay and the ideal location for discovering all that our local area has to offer. We are also very fortunate have a number of award winning eateries on our doorstep.

ABERAERON

A picturesque Georgian harbour town with Regency style architecture and colourful terraced houses.

Recently visited by Jeremy Clarkson himself and commented as being 'achingly beautiful' and we would wholeheartedly agree, especially since the new breakwater path has been finished and you can walk right out into the sea along the path.

There is an array of eateries and also some lovely unique boutique shops. There are also activities for the kids where there are two lovely parks and of course the infamous crabbing from the harbour.

Situated at the mouth of the River Aeron there are lovely river and walks where you can sit and feed the ducks. It has also many ice cream parlours to choose from.

NEW QUAY

A picturesque seaside town in Ceredigion known for its beautiful harbour and three sandy beaches. Harbour beach is a designated Blue Flag beach with clean, clear water, and designated safe swimming area and soft fine sand. The smaller Dolau Beach on the other side of the harbour wall has pebbles, and is dog friendly all year.

Both beaches have been awarded the Seaside Award in 2025. Walk along to Traeth Gwyn (Llanina Beach) at low tide and you will be following in the footsteps of Dylan Thomas which is popular with dog walkers.

New Quay is also famous for its choice of boat trips from the harbour where you can learn about the wildlife, including sea birds, seals and the bottle nose dolphins and experience the stunning scenery of Cardigan Bay.

ABERYSTWYTH

A University and Seaside town in Ceredigion. In 2025 Aberystwyth became a UNESCO City of Literature becoming the first Welsh place to receive the title.

The town is situated on Cardigan bay where the seafront with a pier stretches from Constitution Hill to the North end of the promenade to the harbour at the South.

The beach is divided by the Castle where there are still some ruins of the castle to be seen. Constitution Hill is accessible by either walking or you can catch the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway which gives access to panoramic views including a camera obscura.

There are also an array of shops including supermarkets such as Tesco, Lidl, Morrisons, Marks and Spencers and a number of other retails shops.

THINGS TO DO

Wales Coastal Path

The Ceredigion Coastal Path is a breathtaking 60 mile section of the Wales Coastal Path ranging from Cardigan in the South to the Dyfi Estuary in the North.

The path is known for its varied scenery, wildlife and cultural insights making it a major attraction for walkers.

DEVILS BRIDGE WATERFALLS

Providing a unique opportunity to see the great natural feature in the Rheidol Gorge. Devils Bridge Waterfalls are open all year round. You can reach Devils Bridge Waterfalls by taking the narrow gauge steam train the Vale of Rheidol Railway from Aberystwyth where you will enjoy a 12 mile ride experiencing the stunning Welsh scenery. You can also arrive by car and use the free car park.

Cors Caron

a National Nature Reserve known for its exceptional wildlife, including red kites, otters and various migratory birds, the area is accessible by boardwalks, bird hides and cycle trails.

Just down the road from us is a family run working farm where children of all ages have the opportunity to get up close and interact with the friendly farm animals. Jump aboard the tractor and trailer ride to feed the woolly sheep and pretty ponies. There is also an indoor soft play area which includes inflatable castle and slide. Outdoor play area includes pedal boats, crazy golf, nature walks and motorised kart rides. There is also a café and shop on site.

National Trust Llanerchaeron

Head to the stunning 200 year old elegant Georgian Villa to find out what life was like in the 1790. Enjoy a day out exploring the gardens, traditional stables, farmyard where you can visit the animals, lake and woodland walks where you can spot local wildlife. There are seasonal activities for you to take part in.

Bwlch Nant yr arian

(the Silver Stream) – sits at the head of a dramatic valley and has commanding views of Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains. It is famous for its long established tradition of feeding red kites daily. There is a range of waymarked trails for walking, mountain biking and running. There is also a play area for the children.

We are very fortunate to have a 60 mile stretch of coastline in Ceredigion which include stunning beaches that offer long sandy stretches, hidden coves, dramatic cliffs, rock pools and hidden coves.

The popular beach spots for the South include Poppit Sands, Mwnt, Tresaith, Aberporth, Llangrannog, Penbryn, New Quay, Cei Bach which include some of National Trust gems. In the North you can enjoy the stunning sand dunes of Ynyslas where there are walking trails from the beach car park or you can simply follow your nose and take in the wide open spaces and spectacular views over the estuary.

There are also two beaches in Aberystwyth North and South with sandy areas and water sports and also Borth beach which is the longest in Ceredigion and stretches over 3 miles and has been given the Blue Flag Beach Award in 2025.
